Adopting a child won't change the world, but for that child their world will change.

Jayden is here!!

It has been a crazy day.  We were up at 3:00 a.m. (we still have not adjusted to China time).  We left our hotel in Beijing at 5:30 a.m. and caught a 7:30 flight to Nanchang where Jayden is.  We were planning on having the afternoon to rest and get ready to meet him on the 9th at 11:00 p.m.  As we are driving from the airport to our hotel our guide surprises us by saying we will be meeting Jayden at 3:30 this afternoon.  We only had a few hours.  At 3:20 we headed down to the hotel lobby and they were already waiting for us.  The ayis told him we were mama and papa.  He looked at me and promptly said "no".  About two minutes later he was in my lap and hasn't been too far from me since :)

Richard and I prayed right before we went down to the lobby and I believe that God is truly blessing us.  Jayden has done great!  He has been checking everything out and LOVED his bath.  He did not warm up to Richard at first, but very quickly realized that dad is alot of fun.

We are on the 24th floor of the Galactic Peace Hotel in downtown Nanchang.  Jayden seems to love looking out the window.  Everytime I look out, I feel slightly dizzy!  Tomorrow we have three different appointments to finish up his adoption and then Tuesday we will be on a plane to Chengdu :)

  1. The same thing happened to us Joelle was waiting for us in the lobby, too--off the plane and then, plop, Joelle was in my lap. Praying . . .

  2. Riley and Sam saw the pictures. We are very anxious to Skype with you! He is ADORABLE and we are so thankful things we went well! Love you guys!!

  3. It is so great to see you guys with Jayden. What a great little guy he is :) Can't wait until he meets his older brother in just a few days!
