Adopting a child won't change the world, but for that child their world will change.

Three months home

It has been a while since I have posted anything, but it has been a bit busy around the Sanders' home.  First I want to acknowledge that on Monday, July 9, 2012, we lost our long time canine friend "Speedy".  He had been a member of our family for almost 14 years so we are all definitely missing him, but he lead a full life.  This photo was taken just a few weeks ago in our front yard.  The deer was not concerned about Speedy at all...of course he was only barking once every minute or so and only went that close to the deer.

At the end of June we went to church reunion at Graceland College in Iowa.  It is a two-hour drive so our first mini road trip.  Seth slept and Jayden would not stop pestering his sisters :)

Riley always has to be the clown.
Check out Sami doing her hair.  We had just left the house.
Look at the ornery smile on Jayden's face!

I was a little concerned about taking five kids to reunion by myself and considered not going, but Samantha and Riley said they would walk if we didn't go.  All in all it was a great week.  Richard came up Wednesday evening after work and stayed the rest of the week.  He had no more paid vacation since we used it all for China.  Seth made a few more friends and played some basketball.

Samantha slept with me several nights which was something she has not done in a very long time.

On to some more fun pictures.  Jayden "LOVES" his baths.  As soon as you say bath, he runs in the bathroom and will have his clothes off and will be climbing in the tub in less than a minute.

Riley and Jayden are competing for the title of family clown :)

He found Sami's socks and would not take them off all day.

Hiding under the bed.

The next photos are from 4th of July.  Jayden was not scared of any of the fireworks and Seth had a great time blowing things up.

Seth did start calling us Mom and Dad this past week which was wonderful to hear.  He still hangs out in his room quite a bit, but every week he spends more and more time with the family.  Riley and Seth are becoming very good friends.  We have found them laying on the same bed together playing a video game giggling like little girls.  He is such a great kid and we are so blessed to be his parents.
