Volleyball and soccer

This year Samantha was a starter on the JV volleyball team and played with the Varsity team.  This commitment required 3-1/2 hours of practice four days a week.  We are so proud of how hard she worked.

On varsity she was #20.

On JV she was #12.

This was taken at one of many VB tournaments we went to.  Doesn't he have the cutest smile?

Seth was a starting forward this year...his first time ever playing on a soccer team.  Everyone was surprised how good his footwork was even though he had never played before. His soccer team got first place in their conference and Seth had 3 or 4 goals (I can't remember which).  Zane had one goal.  Several of the games Zane would be yelling at the other boys in Chinese.  I asked Seth, what is he saying because he knows they can't understand him.  Seth said Zane was telling them to give him the ball :)

Zane (Ned) also played on the soccer team.  This boy is FAST!!

Seth has made a couple of good friends at school.  Jose and Andrew both played on the soccer team and will also play basketball which will start very soon now that soccer is over. Both of these boys have done a great job of including Seth at school and I have found them many times laughing and joking with each other.  Seth's English vocabulary has just exploded in the last few weeks and carry on quite the conversation now.
