Seth playing basketball

Seth was invited by one of new friends and the athletic director to play on a summer basketball league at school that is purely for fun.  When we asked him if he was nervous about playing he said yes, he was worried he would not understand his coach.  He has played two games and the first game we could tell he was being cautious trying to figure it all out, but the second game he was much more comfortable.  A big thank you to Joe Dunning for the great pictures.  We forgot our camera the first game and the second game we were working in the concession stand.
The kids go to a Christian school so they start every game with prayer.
Seth is number 5 and Riley is number 3.

The first game Seth got one basket and the second game he had two assists along with one foul :)

Week six/seven

We took the kids to the zoo almost two weeks ago and they had a fabulous time.  The weather was perfect and everyone was able to go except for Destiny.

Our oldest and our youngest

Riley and Seth

Brian and his beautiful wife Milana with Jayden

All of my kids except one...Destiny had other plans that day

An update on Seth...he started taking piano lessons about four weeks ago and he is already playing with both hands.  We were blessed enough to find a very nice piano.  After visiting with the seller about the boys adoptions, she told us she felt she was being led to not accept any money for the piano which was a huge blessing.

We are also counting down the weeks until Seth's other friends, Zane (Ned) and Jaxon (Lucky) are adopted and come home to the U.S.  This week on June 13th Ned's family got their LOA and could be traveling by July 15th.  Seth passed on that information to Ned (Zane) and they are both very excited to see each other again.

Week five

We took Seth and Jayden to my parents home which is next door to us to explore the farm.  Jayden loved, loved, loved the tractor.  We spent at least 15 minutes in the tractor and after he had seen all of the animals he wanted to go back to see tractor.

He liked the horses, but would not pet them yet :)

Seth was not at all interested in the tractor which kind of surprised me.  He had much more fun checking out the frogs around the pond and then feeding the fish.

Jayden also loved throwing food in for the baby catfish, but when he dropped on the ground he made sure he picked it up and threw it in the water.

I am not sure why he was frowning in this picture because he really did enjoy the baby chicks,
but this was the only shot of him petting one.

Week five ended up being a rough one for Seth.  His tutor took the week off due to her mom being in town so he had no reason to go out of the house.  He was really depressed and slept alot.  He seemed to close himself off to us for several days.  Finally after several days of this he agreed to go fishing with Riley.  This was his first time and he caught 13 fish!!  After that day his mood seemed to pick up some.  I reminded him that he will have good days and bad days, but sleeping all of the time was not going to make him feel better.
