Adopting a child won't change the world, but for that child their world will change.

It has been a busy week with us finishing up three days of a garage sale and Saturday, May 18th, we had a biscuit and gravy/bake sale fundraiser.  Last Monday, the 13th, we finally were notified by our agency that they had received our LOA or LSC (Letter Seeking Confirmation from Adopter).  This document states that China Center of Adoption Affairs has officially matched us with Mason.  This is always a very exciting step for adoptive families because this process can take anywhere from 25-100 days.  We waited 40 days this time and for Jayden it was around 63 days.

Now our application is with Department of Homeland USCIS to approve us to bring Mason in the United States.  We are one week into that wait and this morning our adoption agency contacted me and stated that they think we will travel at the end of June...

I am praying that God will help us move that mountain because we have a large one to move :)

Mason knows we are coming!

On Saturday night while we all slept a wonderful adoptive family from Ohio delivered a small photo album and a note to Mason.  He now knows that he has a family and we will be coming to get him.

The translator reading our letter to him about our family.

This is the only photo where I can tell what picture
he is looking at...our son Brian, his wife Milana
and the two granddogs Penny and Zoe

He loved the Ziplock bag.  Thanks Randi!

All four of these kids have families working to get them home.

These photos made our day. I was having a very emotional morning anyway so when I opened these photos, I started bawling, but it was just what we needed to get us through the next 10-12 weeks.

CoupAide is helping us raise funds

We are actively raising funds to bring home Mason.  We are selling whatever is not nailed down (lol) because travel time is creeping up rather fast.  We are planning the first of many garage sales (May 8th-11th) and we have scheduled a biscuit and gravy breakfast/bake sale on May 18th.  We also found a company that has partnered with and for $20 you get a $50 gift card.  What a deal!!!  They in turn will give us $10 towards Mason's adoption.  There are over 18,000 restaurants that participate in this program including Novella's, El Volcan, EBT, Chinatown, Yogurtini, Waldo Pizza, The Original Chubby's, Po's Dumpling Bar,  The Stack Barbeque, Sushi Gin Japanese Cuisine, Hikari Japanese Steakhouse, River's Bend in Parkville,
Sakura Asian Bistro & Sushi Bar, Mai Thai, New Peking and many more.
